Grass-fed Ruby Red beef
At Spargo Farm, our beef comes from traditional North Devon, or Ruby Red, cattle, a historic West Country breed renowned for its flavour, tenderness, and ability to thrive on pasture. Perfectly suited to the Cornish landscape, these hardy cattle graze slowly across our clover-rich fields overlooking Argal Lake.
Our cattle are grass-fed, raised outdoors on diverse herbal leys that naturally nourish both the animals and the soil. This pasture-based system produces richly flavoured beef while supporting regenerative farming practices that improve soil health, biodiversity, and the wider landscape.
We raise our animals with care and patience, allowing them to mature naturally. The result is deeply marbled, nutrient-rich beef that reflects the character of the land it comes from.
